Campus and Departmental Funds - You may also wish to support the research and educational activities at the Medical College of Georgia though the departments and units of MCG. The Foundation's funds listing is arranged by School, with all departmental funds listed. For a full listing of MCG Departments and Units, please visit the MCG website.

Establishing a New Fund - The Foundation has published guidelines for establishing a new fund in its Policies and Procedures Manual. Endowment funds are invested by the Foundation to generate annual earnings. Each year, a payout of 5% is disbursed in accordance with the wishes of the donor. When determining the amount of an endowment, each donor should carefully consider the minimum principle needed to fund their specified program or scholarship. For example, if you wanted to establish a scholarship endowment that would generate a $1,000 award each year, you will need an endowment of approximately $30,000.

If you would like more detail about establishing a new fund, please contact the Foundation Controller, Kathryn Yates at (877) 823-5501.
