8th Annual Cardiovascular Summit at Kiawah

This four-day event will highlight advances in cardiovascular medicine and is designed for practicing physicians, Advanced Practitioners and other providers who care for patients with cardiovascular disease.  This event will be led by the Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery faculty of the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University affiliated with Wellstar MCG Health.

The program will highlight recent improvements in cardiovascular care delivery including the following key areas:

EKGs, echoes, nuclear stress imaging
Management of heart failure patients – advances in medical and device therapy
Cardiogenic shock and cardiac arrest, use of mechanical circulatory support
Valvular heart disease and transcatheter therapies
Role of artificial intelligence (AI) in cardiovascular care
Women’s heart health
Managing lipids in 2024
Stable ischemic heart disease
Acute coronary syndromes
Novel pacing strategies
Management of atrial fibrillation and PVCs
Cardio-obstetrics
Cardio-oncology
Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, sarcoidosis, amyloidosis
Lower extremity peripheral artery disease, carotid artery disease
Aortic aneurysms
Pulmonary embolism and pulmonary hypertension
The format of this program will include didactic lectures, interactive breakfasts with the experts and case-based presentations emphasizing audience participation. Prior years’ participants have rated this program highly, and we anticipate another engaged group of health care professionals at this year’s program!
