Mail a Check
Checks should be made out to "Medical College of Georgia Foundation" and can either be mailed to our office or hand delivered between 9am and 4pm Monday through Friday.
If you wish to support a specific fund, please list the fund code on the check memo or accompanying documentation. If you are unsure of the fund code of a particular fund, a full list of our available funds can be found here. Gifts that do not indicate a fund designation will be accepted as an unrestricted gift and will be used to support the overall mission and operations of the Medical College of Georgia Foundation.

Year-End Giving and Postmark Information
For calendar year–end giving, the date a gift is credited depends on how and when it is delivered to the Foundation.

Mailed gifts are credited based on the U.S. Postal Service postmark date, not the date the gift is received.

Hand‑delivered gifts are credited based on the date the check is physically delivered to our office.

The date written on the check does not determine the gift’s tax year.

To ensure your gift is credited to the intended calendar year, we strongly encourage donors to mail checks well in advance of December 31. Checks placed in the mail on December 31 may not be postmarked that same day and, if postmarked after December 31, will be credited to the following calendar year.
Similarly, a check dated December 31 but hand delivered after December 31 will be credited based on the delivery date and applied to the subsequent calendar year.
Donors wishing to ensure same‑year credit may hand deliver checks to our office between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
