To provide funds to resident physicians in the internal medicine residency program for the purpose of travel-related expenses including registration, transportation, accommodations, lodging, food and/or incidentals when presenting a poster, abstract, oral presentation, clinical vignette or other original research at a national or regional meeting, and/or in representing MCG. The fund may also be used to make awards to residents who present the most outstanding research project within a competition to be held in the program or on a sectional, regional, national or world basis. A portion not exceeding 25% of any year's endowment distribution may also be used for future repairs and maintenance, furniture and fixtures, video equipment and computers for the Peacock Resident Library. If the library does not need any of the distribution the total distribution will be used for the original purpose.
