To provide a scholarship to a Medical student at MCG based on merit (as defined by the selection committee). The scholarship is renewable for the selected student if good academic standing is maintained.

To provide support for an academic faculty position in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Medical College of Georgia in the study of diseases of the eye.

To support a faculty chair in trauma surgery.

To support a faculty chair for the study of immunological diseases.

To support a chair in the Department of Rheumatology.

To support a chair in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Augusta, GA.

To support a scholarship for medical students at the Medical College of Georgia as determined by the MCG Scholarship Committee relative to merit and/or need.

To provide a monetary award to the resident with the highest Ophthalmic Knowledge Assessment Program (OKAP) score.

To be used for research into retinal disease, with the scope and expanse of fund usage under the authority of the Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology.

To honor Dr. Malcolm Luxenberg with a faculty chair in Ophthalmology.

To provide an annual scholarship to a MCG medical student under the following criteria: economic needs; student in good academic standing; and a resident of the state of Georgia.

To provide an annual scholarship of approximately $15,000 for a Junior medical student attending the AU Medical College of Georgia, in good academic standing, with demonstrated financial need (debt load and FGFSA form must be completed), willing to serve in rural Georgia, and currently attending the Southwestern Campus of the Medical College of Georgia for their clinical years 3 and 4.
