Carmen Reyes Scholarship

Provides financial aid to a single parent enrolled in the health information management program in the College of Allied Health Sciences. If no person meets this stipulation, the funds may be available to a married student in the Health Information Management program, with children. The student needs to maintain a 2.5 GPA. The fund may be used for books or tuition. The amount of the scholarship will be $250 for the first year and re-determined each year as funds are available.

To support a scholarship for the College of Allied Health Sciences in a Clinical Laboratory Sciences Program. The merit based scholarship supports an individual who exhibits a strong history of academic accomplishment, leadership, creativity and evidence of a future dedication to the medical sciences.

To be considered, the minimum undergraduate GPA is 3.5 and the minimum GRE, if appropriate, should be in the top 25% of possible scores. Continued performance at this outstanding level is expected during the program.

Selection of the recipient should be made by a committee that includes a representative from the Dept. of Clinical Laboratory Sciences in the College of Allied Health Sciences and a representative from the Clinical Pathology Laboratories of the Augusta University Medical Center.
