Will provide support for research related to the Department of Pulmonology at the Medical College of Georgia.

To rename the Temporal Bone Lab within the MCG Department of Otolaryngology the Dr. James T. Lowe Jr. Temporal Bone Lab. The name shall remain in effect as long as the laboratory remains in its current location.

To provide program and other support to Harrisburg Family Healthcare Clinic through its partnership with the Medical College of Georgia Department of Family Medicine.

Will support all activities and functions relating to the HamesNet Research program including, but not limited to: network building activities (travel, annual meeting costs), evaluation activities (data collection, management, and analysis), workforce resources (salaries for research), and dissemination activities (publication costs, peer-reviewed literature, community clinician travel to research conferences).

To support a scholarship for medical students attending the Medical College of Georgia who are in good academic standing and demonstrate the greatest financial need.

Will support scholarships for Medical College of Georgia students enrolled in the MCG 3+ Program; selected on academic merit and/or financial need. Recipient(s) may receive the scholarship more than once during their academic career, and may be used for tuition, room and board, and/or fees.

This gift establishes the Dr. and Mrs. Matthew Thom Fund for 3+ Program and Rural Health Initiative.

To provide a scholarship with preference for medical students who have displayed exceptional stewardship during their first 18 months of medical school through their mentorship and education of first year medical students. With further preference that it be awarded to a student/s as they transition from the pre-clerkship curriculum to the clerkship curriculum or third year, and without preference for GPA or needs.
