For: Education of all health care professionals including students, allied professionals, fellows, and practicing physicians on sabbatical for a course, a day or week of observation and discussion, and may be used for all clinical areas of cardiology, and particularly cardiac imaging as CT coronary angiography of acute chest pain patients in the community hospital, cardiac MRI, echocardiography, and the essential basic clinical skills of patient history and physical exam, as well as certificate-level training in imaging skills for local radiologists and cardiologists.The priory should be the unlimited transmission of knowledge and clinical skills rather than limits or restrictions to subspecialities. Research: Any research participation by trainees should be of a type that enhances clinical skills in patient care.

This annual lectureship, coordinated by the Division of Gastroenterology, will feature a top-tier physician and/or researcher speaker in the study of Pancreatology, and will provide for any expenses related to providing and organizing this lectureship.
This endowment was established by Joseph W. Griffin, MD, retired MCG Faculty member and former acting Division Chief for Gastroenterology, who was a resident, fellow, colleague, friend, and ultimately medical practice partner with Dr. Paul Webster.

Georgia Community Foundation 3+ Primary Care Pathway and Rural Health Care Initiative

Will provide scholarship funding for MCG medical students enrolled in the 3+ Primary Care Pathway, who serve the rural and under-served areas of the State of Georgia. MCG 3+ Primary Care Pathway students who complete their residency training in Georgia will provide rural/underserved communities across the state with one year of service for each year of scholarship support (two years maximum obligation).
