To award a stipend for the 1st and 2nd place resident recipients of the William P. Kanto Resident Research Award; chosen by the Resident Scholarly Activity Oversite Committee of the MCG Department of Pediatrics through established criteria. May also be used to support small research projects submitted by a pediatric resident or fellow with the approval and recommendation of the Department of Pediatrics Research Council and the Vice Chair of Research.

To provide scholarships for medical students at the Medical College of Georgia with criteria based on financial need.

For: Education of all health care professionals including students, allied professionals, fellows, and practicing physicians on sabbatical for a course, a day or week of observation and discussion, and may be used for all clinical areas of cardiology, and particularly cardiac imaging as CT coronary angiography of acute chest pain patients in the community hospital, cardiac MRI, echocardiography, and the essential basic clinical skills of patient history and physical exam, as well as certificate-level training in imaging skills for local radiologists and cardiologists.The priory should be the unlimited transmission of knowledge and clinical skills rather than limits or restrictions to subspecialities. Research: Any research participation by trainees should be of a type that enhances clinical skills in patient care.

Support Alzheimer's Disease research ,specifically "the pathogenic role of disrupted glutathione homeostasis in Alzheimer's Disease (AD)," as presented by Principal investigator Xingjun Fan, Ph.D., Associate Professor Department of Cellular Biology and Anatomy, Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University.

This annual lectureship, coordinated by the Division of Gastroenterology, will feature a top-tier physician and/or researcher speaker in the study of Pancreatology, and will provide for any expenses related to providing and organizing this lectureship.
This endowment was established by Joseph W. Griffin, MD, retired MCG Faculty member and former acting Division Chief for Gastroenterology, who was a resident, fellow, colleague, friend, and ultimately medical practice partner with Dr. Paul Webster.

Will provide scholarship funding for MCG medical students enrolled in the 3+ Primary Care Pathway, who serve the rural and under-served areas of the State of Georgia. MCG 3+ Primary Care Pathway students who complete their residency training in Georgia will provide rural/underserved communities across the state with one year of service for each year of scholarship support (two years maximum obligation).

Will provide funding for the AU Health Rural Hospital Care Network to provide rural and under-served community hospitals with equipment to receive ER Emergency Care and Telecritical Services in partnership with AU HEalth.

Supports the residents of the MCG Department of Internal Medicine for general purposes such as but not limited to: education, well-being, research, and scholarly activities.

To support an endowed scholarship at the Medical College of Georgia for medical students as established by Fort F. Felker, M.D. '53, and his wife, Michele J. Felker.

Equipment and training for Department of Ophthalmology residents.

To establish the M.J. Edwards Cardiovascular Research Endowment within the Department of Cardiology.

To support the MCG 3+ Program and Rural Health Initiative.
