Will help support MCG 3+ Program & Rural Health Initiative scholarships to train the next generation of physicians who will practice in underserved parts of Georgia.

To provide support to students enrolled in the MCG 3+ Program.

An endowed scholarship in the Medical College of Georgia for medical students, renewable annually, awarded at an amount up to $5,000 per semester ($10,000 per year) based on: 1. The student must have completed at least their first year of medical school at MCG and; 2. The student must remain in good academic standing and; 3. Preference should be given to financial need.

To support activities of the annual Jaguar Sports Medicine Conference organized and hosted by the department of MCG-Orthopaedics.

To support family medicine residents who wish to participate in overseas humanitarian post-graduate medical training rotations. Residents will be eligible for a one time award, and funds mey be used towards travel, food, and/or room and board while on medical rotation overseas.

Will support areas including, but not limited to: sustainable support of Pediatric Cardiology Fellow positions, equipment/software/technology/personnel to increase access to the best patient care, and statewide outreach to close access gaps.

To establish the Wilkes Family Fund for the 3+ Program and Rural Health Initiative.

To be used for receiving non-taxable exhibit fees and disbursing conference related expenditures associated with the department’s trauma conference.

The J. Harold Harrison Scholarship in Medicine supports students of the Medical College of Georgia who demonstrate strong academic performance and/or leadership potential. Preference will be given to a student from a small town in Georgia. This scholarship is renewable annually, provided the recipient remains in good academic standing and continues to meet the existing criteria of the Medical College of Georgia scholarship committee.

In support of the Medical College of Georgia, to be used for a scholasrhip for a Medical College of Georgia medical student once the fund reaches a $100,000 endowment level.

To provide stethoscopes, free of cost, to all first-year medical students at the Medical College of Georgia. These stethoscopes provide a connection for first-year students with the MCG Alumni Association and invite them into a culture of responsibility in patient care and mentorship with fellow physicians.

To support scholarships for students at the Medical College of Georgia with preference given to students based on academic merit.
