Will support research in cancer genetics and the Hereditary Cancer Clinic at the Georgia Cancer Center and Medical College of Georgia.

To provide a scholarship with preference for non-traditional students to include, but not be limited to: married with children, had a professional job before starting medical school, and/or is a veteran.

To establish the Marc B. Powers Movement Disorders Fund for Patient Education & Support, Research & Training to support programs that help patients and their families, as well as to advance medical science via research, discovery, and training of residents and fellows.

To support scholarships for MCG students.

To recognize great and enthusiastic teaching contributions by both faculty and residents in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology with the annual OBGYN Excellence in Faculty & Resident Teaching Awards. Preference will be given to early to mid-career faculty and resident eligibility will be at the PGY-2 level or above. Faculty will be honored with a plaque and the resident will receive support for professional development in the form of conferences, educational presentations, new tools in the educational setting, and/or textbooks.

A Scholarship for MCG students enrolled at the AU/UGA Medical Partnership campus in August, GA, with distribution made annually. The sole criteria is for the scholarship to be awarded to medical students (to be medical doctors) at the AU/UGA Medical Partnership campus.

Will provide financial assistance, in the form of direct reimbursement, to students at the Medical College of Georgia attending national primary care-focused research conferences. The student(s) selected to receive financial assistance will be determined by a panel of faculty members in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, selected and chaired by the Chairperson of the Department. The main criteria will be that the conference they attend aligns with the educational and research goals of the Department. Priority may be given to students with greater financial need, as determined by the selection panel, however it is not a requirement. Students may only be selected once during their enrollment at the Medical College of Georgia. Expenses eligible for reimbursement include any actual expense incurred for the purpose of attending the conference, including, but not limited to: conference registration, lodging, flights, mileage, and meals.

This fund supports the Medical College of Georgia's Southeast regional campus. It provides for the efforts of the College to educate medical students embedded in Southeast Georgia centered Brunswick. This may include: student, faculty and staff training, travel, housing and support; equipment and supplies; buildings and space; technology and curriculum; simulation, classroom, and laboratory learning; expansion; and other needs as they arise in accordance with the College's mission to train physicians.

To provide a needs-based scholarship to a medical student.

Provides financial support for medical students interested in urology as a career to experience a clinical rotation with the MCG Department of Urology. The opportunity is open to all medical students attending accredited medical schools in the U.S. with a preference for medical students from populations underrepresented in medicine. A designated Department of Urology faculty member(s) will make the selection.
The fund will be used to provide a stipend to assist students from outside institutions with travel and living expenses related to relocating to our area to complete their clinical rotation in the Urology Department.

To support the DCG 3+ program and/or other initiatives to address the dentist shortage in rural and/or underserved Georgia.
