To support residents’ education and wellness activities, and urgent/emergent funding needs that are not otherwise covered through the department budget. Funds will be approved at the discretion of the authorized persons listed below, or their designated successors or appointees. Examples of qualified disbursements may include but are not limited to:
- Venue and equipment rental
- Food and beverage
- Achievement awards
- Expenses incurred on domestic elective rotations
- Family crisis or bereavement needs
- Travel expenses in excess of CME allotment
- Books or other educational material

The MCG Clinical Genomics Development Fund is established to support activities related to education, research, and patient care in clinical genomics. In addition, this fund will provide annual support for the David B. Flannery, MD, Clinical Genomics Lectureship.

This scholarship supports an MCG medical student with preference for military veterans.

Support programs and activities of the Section of Cardiology such as to enhance educational and professional advancement, cardiology patient education, and community involvement for cardiology to include but not limited to annual alumni events, receptions and CME programs. Include salaries and contractor assistance to support these initiatives if/when necessary.

Support cardiology faculty/fellow/staff research, educational, clinical development, meetings and travel.

To support a Professorship in Anesthesiology.

To provide a scholarship for students attending the Medical College of Georgia, Savannah Campus. The scholarship will provide aid to a graduate of a high school in the state of Georgia who is also a graduate of Georgia Southern who wishes to attend the MCG Savannah Campus. Scholarship can be renewable for up to 4 years based on good academic standing. Scholarship should be based on financial need. Further, if the Savannah campus ever ceases to be a Medical College of Georgia campus, the scholarship should revert back to the MCG Augusta, Georgia location, or home campus.

To establish the William L. "Lamar" Cousins, M.D. Scholarship Endowment for student(s) enrolled in the MCG 3+ Program & Rural Health Initiative.

Mary Margaret Manning establishes this fund in memory of her much beloved late cousin, Dr. William L. "Lamar" Cousins. The scholarship will support medical students who have chosen to go into primary care in Georgia and to do a residency in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics Gynecology (OB/GYN), Pediatrics, Psychiatry or Surgery. The goal is to increase the number of practicing physicians in under-resourced areas of Georgia.

To promote and execute the activities of the Moretz Surgical Society. This includes, but is not limited to, CME Events, meals, honorariums, travel expenses, regulatory fees, awards, etc.

To provide funds for residency and fellowship support in the Section of Allergy & Immunology including but not limited to general support for residents and fellows, travel related expenses including registration, transportation, accommodations, lodging, food

To support the MCG Cardiology Fellowship Education Program. The funds may be used but not limited to support cardiology fellowship education in the following ways, with students being made aware that this support is provided through a philanthropic gift from Dr. Miller:
A. Digital and print subscription to the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
B. Online Courses via American College of Cardiology (ACC) delivered through their trusted Self-Assessment Programs (SAPs), and the Collaborative Maintenance Pathway (CMP).
C. Access to the following: ACCSAP, CATHSAP, EPSAP, HFS
