- Expenses incurred on domestic elective rotations
- Family crisis or bereavement needs

To provide a scholarship for students attending the Medical College of Georgia, Savannah Campus. The scholarship will provide aid to a graduate of a high school in the state of Georgia who is also a graduate of Georgia Southern who wishes to attend the MCG Savannah Campus. Scholarship can be renewable for up to 4 years based on good academic standing. Scholarship should be based on financial need. Further, if the Savannah campus ever ceases to be a Medical College of Georgia campus, the scholarship should revert back to the MCG Augusta, Georgia location, or home campus.

To establish the William L. "Lamar" Cousins, M.D. Scholarship Endowment for student(s) enrolled in the MCG 3+ Program & Rural Health Initiative.
Mary Margaret Manning establishes this fund in memory of her much beloved late cousin, Dr. William L. "Lamar" Cousins. The scholarship will support medical students who have chosen to go into primary care in Georgia and to do a residency in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics Gynecology (OB/GYN), Pediatrics, Psychiatry or Surgery. The goal is to increase the number of practicing physicians in under-resourced areas of Georgia.
