Originally envisioned over 5 years ago, the new student foundation is up and running. Alex Griffin (the Executive Director of the Student Foundation) joined the MCGF in 2021 to make the idea of a student-led foundation a reality. Now the Belltower Student Foundation is a maturing organization that not only has active committees, a purpose, and a charge, but also manages a portfolio of $500,000 in assets allocated by the MCGF. Now over 30 students strong, the Belltower Foundation has launched its own website (belltowerfoundation.com). They've also been at work in the community, serving organizations like Clinica Latina, the Ronald McDonald House, LAUNCH Augusta, the MCG SEEP (Student Educational Enrichment) Program, and SPOTS (Sun Protection Outreach Teaching by Students).
